I've read several of these reveiws and understand this is a hard time for many people. I know that not eveyone's experience is the same and want to give my family's experience.

My Grandpa was in a rehab center that was absolutely awful. They were great in appearances, but when it came down to it, they lied to us that he was progressing. We assumed they meant in his rehabilitation, in reality they meant toward death, but weren't straight forward with it till his paid time in the center was running out. It was such a releif to have Gentiva come take care of him in our home.

Gentiva is hospice care. Their purpose is to make the individual as comfortable as possible till their passing, but they did more than that. They assisted us as his family to be consoled and informed as to what was happening to him. They were indignant at the signs of neglect from the rehabilitation center and corrected all they could at that point giving him thorough oral care and for the first time in over a month in their estimation and taking off tape bandages that should have been removed 3 weeks prior even though that was a painstaking process. He would wince when they tried taking the tape off, so they spent a long time carefully and gently working them off. Each person who worked with us was astonishingly professional and loving. When something needed to be done that involved another company, they didn't leave us to do the work, they made the phone calls and arrangements and followed up with us.

They explained everything they did and how it was of help and even went out of their way to do things we wanted. My grandpa wouldn't eat or swallow anything, but they still brought us some "Boost" and anything else that could assist at our request even though (as they predicted) it wasn't helpful.

Even after my Grandpa's passing, the on call nurse (who was the first we were introduced to and had stayed with us several hours the first day answering questions and making arrangements) came over even though it was 2 am and helped us, and even during the mourning period, they sent condolences and called twice during the month following to ask how we were doing. They've been perfect for my Granpa and for us in our time of need.

I am so happy to hear this. We really had a close rapport with our team and they were kind and really knew their stuff.

When things became questionable and I had to blow the whistle, they retaliated rather than become accountable and responsible.

It affected familial relationships and peace of mind as it divided our family. I wish you peace.
